What is Science Teachers Day?
Science Teachers Day is a day of workshops for middle and high school teachers where they can learn about plasma physics research and pedagogy. The teachers will meet and talk with research physicists from research centers, laboratories, academia, and industry. The workshop presentations, handouts, and resource materials are designed especially for middle and high school teachers.
 
Science Teachers Day begins at 7:30 am on Tuesday, November 13 at the Rosen Centre Hotel.     REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

8:15 to 8:30 am Plasma/fusion Overview
8:40 to 10:10 am Workshop session 1 (Plasma 101)
10:20 to 11:50 pm Workshop session 2
11:50 to 1:00 pm Complimentary Lunch with Scientists
1:10 to 2:40 pm Workshop session 3
2:40 to 3:00 pm Brief introduction to Poster Session
3:00 to 4:00 pm APS/DPP General Poster Session

Workshops* will deal in depth with a number of plasma-related topics. (Teachers will receive hand-out materials from appropriate level workshops.)
